I was born in Las Vegas, spent a couple of years in Turkey, and eventually settled in Utah with my military family. I hold a bachelor’s degree, but my most cherished roles are wife to my high school sweetheart and mom to our two kids, two dogs, and four chickens.
When I’m not writing or reading, you’ll probably find me baking, getting lost in some new creative project, sending memes to my friends, or having spontaneous dance parties with my kids. I love seeing the world through their eyes—it keeps life magical.
Like any writer, I pull inspiration from life. “Write what you know” is a mantra I live by, but for me, it’s less about events and more about emotions, struggles, and truths. Writing gives me clarity—it lets me pull the demons from my head and slaughter them on paper.
I’ve always been a storyteller, but for a long time, I didn’t realize just how much I needed writing in my life. I went to school for nutrition, only to discover that working in the field left me craving something different. Creativity has always been my true passion—I thrive when I can spread my creative wings.
My writing journey started in the most unexpected way: while stuck at a desk job, waiting for more work to come in, I decided to put my boredom to good use. Instead of scrolling the internet like my colleagues, I started writing. Twelve years later, I’ve built a deep love for the craft, gained a whole lot of education on storytelling, and completed a manuscript I’m incredibly proud of.
I write stories that blend the fantastical with the deeply human. My current novel, a romantic urban fantasy, explores a world where Angels controversially live among humans. It’s the first in a planned trilogy, with two character spin-offs already in the works. I also have a futuristic dystopian fantasy in the pipeline. My writing gravitates toward themes that resonate most with me—friendship, love, conspiracy, power dynamics, overcoming trauma, and addiction. I believe stories should challenge us, reflect the truths we wrestle with, and ultimately, leave us with something to hold on to.
