About Me

Born to a military family, I have lived in Nevada, Turkey, and Utah. I hold a bachelor’s degree, but my current focus is raising my children, while I work to be published.

When I’m not writing or reading, you’ll probably find me baking, getting lost in some new creative project, or finding ways to infuse magic into my kids' lives.

Like any writer, I pull inspiration from the things I've experienced, though it’s less about the events themselves and more about the emotions they created. Writing allows me to pull the demons from my head so that I can slaughter them on paper.

 I’ve always been a storyteller, but for a long time, I didn’t realize just how much I needed writing in my life. I went to school for nutrition, only to discover that working in the field left me craving something different. I thrive when I can spread my creative wings.

Though I've always had a knack for writing, my professional writing journey started after I graduated from university. I landed a job that had me bored to tears as I was told not to do anything outside of my assigned tasks. While waiting for more work to come in, I put my boredom to good use. This is when I really started writing.

Since then, I’ve built a deep love for the craft, learned a lot, completed a manuscript I’m incredibly proud of, and even won an award for a children's book I wrote.

 I write stories that blend the fantastical with the deeply human. My current novel, titled First Light, is a paranormal romance that dives into a world where Angels controversially live among humans. My intention with this book was to befriend death. I can honestly say that I have since done so.

While First Light can stand alone, it is the first book in a planned trilogy. I also have plans for two spin-offs. After this massive project, I want to write a dystopian romance.

My writing gravitates toward themes that resonate most with me — unconditional love, friendship, conspiracy, power dynamics, and overcoming trauma. I believe stories should challenge us, reflect the hard truths about life, and ultimately, leave us with something to hold on to.
